I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t change out the pin holding the handle together and put a solid pin with a cotter pin retainer in place of that so you don’t have to worry about stripping it will last lifetime

I had a 318ti as my first bmw with the m sport stock, different control arms, diff, shifter, wheels and some trim parts ect. a friend tried helping out n topped the engine up with oil (found this out later). drove for 30 mins and had to drive home with smoke pouring out of the engine bay. car broke and saved up for an auto 328ci. a lot of parts from the 318ti have been installed on the 328 as well as the 220 getrag. it's some history to me. I even put on the trim and use the wheels on occasion. parts that I kept for years waiting for this moment n I'm stoked:) might put on the 318ti badge just not the m// on the back

hi friend, I just purchased Demon Eyes for my BMW E60, can you tell me where I can connect the cables (positive and negative) of the lights? the cables are very short so I don't know what to connect them to I was thinking of the turn signal or maybe the angel eyes but I don't want the Demon Eyes to always turn on when I turn on the Angel Eyes... help me please 🙏

Best part about Royal Purple....you pay for an oil change at least you can tell for sure it's the oil you paid for.

M54B30 is known for the harmonic vibration, which may cause the oil pump nut to go loose. Raising the RPM limit won't aggravate this?

As an M3 owner, the stripes look terrible on the grille or paint of any BMW including M cars.

Grill stripes are not for me but don 't bother me either. I see it as BMW pride of ownership. M products like wheel upgrades are awesome. In short, adding a touch of low key M to your M Sport is fine. Just don't go crazy and misrepresent your car.

Royal purple is expensive ! And for a good reason ! It’s a good oil ! I used in my 2014 LML Duramax ! Since I bought it ! Runs great ! The only other oil that out performs royal purple is Amsoil !

I don't think it makes any sense to put M stripes on something that's not an M-car, even if it's a really fast non-M car. It's not exactly rice, but it's like putting a Pirelli sticker on a car with Michelin tires -- you're trying to make it look like something it's not. (And for the record, I think Michelins are better lol.) But beyond that, most cars that I see with M stripes aren't fast cars. Putting performance brand logos on a car that isn't fast is basically the definition of rice, even if it's not quite as bad as putting on an actual M3 badge. My take is that a 328 or 330 is a perfectly nice car, and owners should just enjoy them for what they are instead of pretending that they're something they're not. Sure, those people can do what they want and tell me to shove it, but it also goes the other way: I don't have to shove it, and I can share my opinion. Love your channel though.

I personally think its petty for anyone to judge what someone does to their own car, I think its wonderful for anyone doing anything to their cars. I would rather people get excited and do things to any car and be an enthusiast over someone being shamed and turning to depression & drugs. I think your cars are freakin badass. I'm just in the for the LOVE OF CARS lol

I think it’s fine, as long as you aren’t telling or trying to show off to people that you have an m3 when you really don’t. Just own up to it and say it’s not an m and you just like the way the parts look on the car

the people who get upset over putting the M colours on non-M cars are people who don't even own either... people be driving around in a stock Corolla and complaining about how people style their E46s

Scent free people can always smell differences in plastic bottles and oils. Some smell like fragrance. Additives all vary in smell.

There's way more to oil than just how well it protects metal and metal. Oil has a flash point where it turns in the carbon. That carbon can damage engine components in block internal passages leading engine failure. If the oil turns into an acid you can eat away at internal parts of the engine and again cause damage. So just straight out protection of metal to metal surfaces, while important, isn't the only consideration.

How can somebody say 5 minutes to stop your car when the oil light comes on is nothing? If I see that oil light come on I'm stopping my car immediately. And then I'm calling for help or trying to diagnose the problem if I can fix it myself. I don't need 5 minutes from the time the oil light comes on to kill my engine unless there's some sort of extreme circumstance that prevents me from stopping. The problem most people have is a warning light comes on and they ignore it and just continue about their business like it doesn't matter. They just drive it until it stops running. They know there's a problem but they ignore it. It doesn't matter what you put in the engine, they're going to destroy it if there's ever an issue. So no amount of time will matter in reality. Most people just drive their car until it dies or they trade it in.

I just got a new long block under acura factory recall 3.5l V6 on TLX A spec (bearing rod/camshaft issue lead to motor seizing). I used to have an E39 528i sport and ran RP with what I thought was good results. Up until the recall work on the Acura, I also ran RP but after some recent google searches on reddit a lot of people were ripping RP under the askmechanics sub and others. I get the standard RP from wal mart for $33-$38 for 5qts. Reasonable to me. What are your thoughts on changing out the "break in" oil for RP at about 700 miles? 0w-20.

DONT DO THIS TO YOUR M54 TILL YOU READ THIS.... Just need to unplug the pump and leave the ONE way valve alone .😮😮 Thinks it's leaking at high rpms ?? Make a soap bubble at the end of it n rev it up 😅IF u have a vacuum controlled valve iam Shure u will know what to do.

Thanks for posting this video. I have the same unit but the built in equalizer doesn't seem to adjust the sound frequency. The sound stays the same after the adjustments. Do you know how to get it to work? I have the M240i which is a coupe. The car that comes up on my screen shows 2 doors open by default when no doors are actually open. When I open a door, it shows 3 doors open all 4 doors will show open when only the 2 doors are open. The car will no disappear like it did on yours when you closed the door. I have to touch the screen to make it go away every time. No response from Autoabc for assistance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Great video and great points. I do have an unrelated question though. I see that you have the GTR hood in your other videos. I have the exact same hood on my E46 (vented). I’ve also noticed that you don’t have hood pins on it. I was so concerned to be running my car without hood pins that I was just about to order some. How has the hood been for you over the years without them?

When a beamer comes into the shop the "not it" happens everytime.....And not a bad little hack there. Its good to show people you dont have to put off vital servicing of your car because you dont have this or that.
